The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) has introduced the Hindi Language in the interactive forms of statement of claims filed before courts, alongside Arabic and English in labour cases. This trilingual service aims to assist foreign workers in better understanding the litigation systems and their rights and duties in concerning cases without the hindrance of a language barrier.
Additionally, the inclusion of the third language seeks to also facilitate registration procedures through the simplified forms available on the ADJD website, thereby improving transparency of the judicial system. The addition is the latest in a series of changes, beginning with the requirement of English translation of case documents in civil and commercial lawsuits if the defendant is a foreigner, in November 2018.
